Proudly on lease from our dear friends Rob
and Yvonne Day, and Leon Bennett this outstanding Pure Crabbet stallion is
a great ambassador for the breed with multiple AA class wins in Working
Stockhorse, and Western Pleasure. Trained by renowned Horseman Jeff
Willis, Dual winner of the gruelling "Man From Snowy River Stockmans
Challenge", "Snowy" has spent numerous years doing feedlot work and
competing successfully in open company against Quarter Horses and
Australian Stockhorses. Snowy exhibits superior ride-ability with the
conformation to excel at rollbacks and spins.

He has proven himself for
versatility competing in Campdrafting, Western, Stockman’s Challenges,
Endurance and Show. Snowy is scoring very
high at campdrafts, scoring 21 for cut-outs at his first two drafts, and
a total score of 82 at his second draft. He is very cowy and loves hard
work, has an impeccable temperament, great
intelligence, and superior trainability. He is a true athlete, energetic
and quick on his feet, yet very sensible and gentle natured when handled or
competing. He gives an armchair canter, and is extremely flashy with his sabino markings, huge kind eye, great natural presence and self-carriage.

In a quest
to find Royal Domino and Banderol blood, we found Midnight Shadow many
years ago, yet his owner had never considered parting with him. We are now
fortunate to have been offered him once again. Shadow oozes presence with a
strong crested neck, strong back and high tail-set.
(NB: photos taken on his arrival mid-winter 2009, show pic of Shadow as a
3 year-old)

A perfect combination of Bandom and
Mildom, he has lovely big dark eyes, tiny ears and wide forehead, broad
chest and hindquarter, short cannons and very good feet. He has his
father’s extravagant movement, light as a feather yet elevated, springy and
powerful. Progeny competing successfully in endurance.

Service Fee: $800 Nat.
service (includes $200 non-refundable
handling fee) plus vet fees, agist ($15 per week)

Taraka is now back at
his “home” Cedarwood Lodge Arabians, to spend his twighlight years, we
wish him a happy retirement. I never dreamt that the yearling colt I cut
out of the “Talquah Stud Sale” advertisement in 1985 would be happily
grazing outside our kitchen window some 24 years later!
His lineage will live on in his
precious daughter, Cedarwood Lodge Zayan.
This grand old gentleman was with us a for
a brief time, yet his memory will last forever.
We all miss him.
“Entity”was bred by Wayne Beasley
of Charaway Arabians, Queensland.
Entity
is a Grandson of Ruberto and Chip Chase Desert Wind. He is 89.6% Crabbet,
and is elegant and refined.
He has height, excellent bone with short cannons, an elegant swan neck and
a clean gullet, a superb front, alovely
head, and eye, with masculinity and presence. He moves as a ridden horse
should: with natural light impulsion,
and beautiful extensions. He is a dream to handle and a thorough gentleman
in the company of other horses.

He is
ridden and worked both traditionally, and at liberty, and thrives on
physical and mental stimulation.
He commenced his endurance career in December
2005 and is proving a very competitive mount in this field.
He is also showing some talent in working stockhorse classes, starting to
develop a skilful stop and spin.
He also enjoys liberty work, rearing on queue, and lungeing, on voice and
hand signals alone.
